Acupuncture
Acupuncture is one of the most well-known areas of traditional Chinese medicine. Through a holistic approach to creating harmony and balance in the human environment, the treatment encourages the healing process through physical stimulation at certain points. Fine acupuncture needles, finger pressure, and electricity are used to normalize the body’s energy field. This is a great treatment for relief for back pain and sciatica, alongside improved circulation, reduced inflammation and strengthening the immune system.
Massage Therapy
Massage Therapy is a method of manipulating soft tissues by hand. The therapist work on muscles, tendons, ligaments, and other connective tissues. The result can include increased blood flow, increased joint flexibility, and reduced pain.
It is an effective treatment for pain management, injury rehabilitation, and mobility. It is also helpful for general well-being and reduce stress.
Cupping
Cupping therapy easily complements acupuncture treatment and provides a pain relief solution that goes straight to the root cause. Heated glass suction cups are placed at various points on the body, creating a vacuum that draws toxins out of the skin, encouraging Qi and blood flow. The effects stimulate the body’s immune system and enriching circulation. Benefits for this method includes relief from joint pain, muscle injury, headaches, infections and bronchial congestion.
Moxibustion
Moxibustion uses a dry herb known as moxa. By burning and placing it on or near the skin, the process will warm the Qi, enhance healing and promote blood circulation. This is commonly used for toning purposes, or to get rid of cold points on the body. With a charismatic smell*, moxa burns slowly to promote the wanted change in the body.
* Some clients may not be well-suited leaving a lingering odor. While smokeless moxa is available, it is not commonly used. If smoke is a concern, we recommend one of our above treatments to effectively combat pain relief.
